so I'm making a chess board. I did it two days ago perfectly, using refine. Now, when I attempt to add a vertex in a spline, it only work on the very bottom portion, i can't add it anywhere else. can anyone help me?
Opacity maps are set up by adding a new map in DDO. From the top right corner of DDO, click the dropdown menu and scroll to Add New Map > Opacity - from there, simply adjust the opacity map to give the effect that you desire.
Cool I am glad it is working and am glad to help! Those maps help dDo when assessing where damage and wear goes. What did your curvature map look like? Did you bake it from xNormal or nDo?
Hm, I remember in the older DDOs we had the possibility to add a UVW input map as well, but I see it's not there anymore. Maybe add your UV's manually to the top of the entire layer stack and turn it on manually when you are painting the masks?

baking in max is... difficult but not impossible it would be great if Autodesk actually fixed long running problems but they haven't and they don't seem like they are going to so here are some work arounds to get you "better" results... Background color: Only use mental ray for Ambient Occlusion, switch to scanline for…
I haven't gotten nearly as much time to work in the last little while as I would have liked. Still, I have managed to do some. These are my latest updates. I still have a few more props to add, particularly in the area in front of the house, and I still have to add the plants. I did a little work on the rocks in the…
