It's exactly as poopipe says. The frequency change gives the effect away but it's well done. Forgive the crappy paint over, I couldn't be bothered to open Photoshop and this was a bad time to learn that Affinity Designer doesn't like my tablet... Anyway that white portion in the lower right is part of the tiling texture…
3D Coat has a lot more flexibility in how you texture. You can vertex paint, ptex, UV and paint, or some combination within the same program. You also get much better manual retopo and UV tools with the package, though ZRemesher the far faster automatic topo tool. One of my favorite features of 3D Coat's texturing tools is…
I think right now there is such a retopology tool that exists. You should check out 3D Coat. Their latest version 3.5 have a function called AUTOPO which allows you to retopologize your whole mesh in a matter of minutes all in quads. You also have the ability to draw curves on the mesh to define the edge flow on your mesh.…
Changes are looking good! Depth feels better. Receding the wall supports looks more like the concept too. Hard to tell, but I feel like your paint for the arrow symbols and the lower red and white "caution bar" on the back door look very clean compared to the concept. It feels much more scratched and damaged. The only…
Welcome dude! You're going to look a shit ton here compared to Deviantart! :D For your current problem.. I'd honestly say you would be best off starting again and building your model up in all 3 dimensions! Extrude edges by shift dragging, but don't be afraid about working in the perspective viewport. You shouldnt need to…
What might be more efficient is your holoscreen as a simple plane with an extruded box version of all the buttons below that using a different simple emissive / additive material. Not sure if that totally fakes it but it'd be close enough without the overdraw as much. -oh I'm saying the exact same thing as cman2k. I tried…
Well its probably too late on giving a suggestion on the concept, but I guess it'll be nice if you use the concept of the left arm "merged" in to the body and eventually grow large especially the hand area and replacing the unknown tentacle at the bottom. And probably you can add a little legs extruding somewhere at the…
What? Sounds like you're still taking about the smoothing. Im talking about where two pieces of the car meet and create that bevel indent (in gta they bevel it in like \/, in real life theyre actually separated a distance) I didn't make a porche, i actually made a MB SL but heres what i mean(lines where the door opens…
Happens to me all the time. Go in Zb to Tool--DisplyProperties--Flip and the geometry should right itself. It is caused by inverted normals, though, I can tell you that! I find it can get caused by extrudes and flips. I'm guessing from your "it has no normals" that you are mixing up normals and UVs. The object might not…
Are you modeling from a concept? This seems more wonky/cartoony than demonic. The upper teeth would go through the lower jaw if its mouth closed, and where exactly do the shots come out of? The eyes, nose, or mouth that is mostly blocked by teeth? Id visual extrude out some barrel(s) to show were the projectiles will…
