Suuuper nice, animations can really make or break a game for me personally, if Oceanhorn had smooth exaggerated movements instead of clunky robots, that pretty game would have lived longer.

Good start, fun reference! you could have some fun with the proportions if you want to make it more like flcl or killer robot. What is the plan for this? a cool render or a game model?
Are you just starting out or are you learning some new technique/approach ? Any previous works to show your current skills ? Guns or Vehicles or Giant Robots with Death Rays or building ?
Can this happen in 3ds max too? Say i have a robot with many single baked items, can i somehow pack them all together and then rearrange the textures to fit on them?

sweet. The one advancement that Im really looking forward to from work like this is the possibilty of having robotic limbs for amputee patients. Losing a limb has always scared the crap out of me.
Im more worried about the Japs making "security " robots then the aussies making zombies . At least when it's all said and done the zombies won't be mounted with missles and 50 calibure machine guns .
