Ok, I will that method first once I get home tomorrow. Once I finish this and the little spring part I can take it into mudbox and sculpt the welded joints and also add in some damage to it
That is true, but that's another one of those loose facts like "damage due to piracy" that cannot be measured, there's really no guarantee of convertion, just as much as making a good game is no guarantee at all that it wont be pirated any less.
Yeah I would add a bit more dust and damage to it. At the moment it still looks a bit prosedural to me, really notice it with the horizontal lines. Some REALLY nice stuff on your gumroad site btw!
working on the emissive layers for the screen and keyboard light. using the pixelated texture to highlight the lighting, and with the keyboard lamp, I wanted to show some kind of dirt/wet damage inside the actual plastic bulb cover.
Yes not good form at all, IMHO. The best thing would to have just posted that he was having difficulty trying to contact Neo_God regarding a private matter and leave it at that. Now reputations on both sides are damaged.
yeah i know i went too far with scrathes and damage.. i would be more careful next time.. i hope to improve with every other asset i will create. Thanks for the comments guyz. :)
i think you could go a touch whiter on the bricks higher up, let the bump do most of the work, but then add some water damage/leakage decals from the ceiling down looking good
Beautiful work man! Perfect amount of damage and wear. I also like the transition of detail (you didn't make it all small details or all big details). Can't wait to see where this goes!
wow sucky man. I always think it's funny how we'll instinctively grab for something what won't get damaged by a fall, but will easily hurt us by touching it (swords, hot pots & pans, porcupines.)
