Final version of "Freyja" (Norse goddess of love, fertility, war, and slain heroes) card illustration for Immortal Battlegrounds game. Critiques welcome!
Yeah, scale in Zbrush is a pain. I like Maya, it's the most stable software I experienced. Changed it to Max only because of material system, for me it is more convenient. Didn't get around to Blender yet, its next in line. Often hear about advantages.
Experimenting with the underground area. This is the area under the arena floor, where extra zombies will spawn. A combination of the geonosian hives and eggs. Maybe a small section to the droid factory parts from episode 2.
Careful with that. There are rules to stained glass patterns that typically need to be followed. There is some forgiveness in those rules when doing game art, but you don't want break them as flagrantly as that image does.
yeah, i changed here for average normal and i checked my swizzle and nothing changed, i tryied to change de swizzle here just for check, but nothing... those stains remain =|
this kind of reminds me of the stain glass animations Riot did in the shurima promotional video's! That'd be so cool if you textured her to make it look like that! that's just my opinion though.
Are you using a spec texture or a gloss map? you should really put the oil stains into the specular, make your diffuse more plain and work on defining the materials through the spec and gloss.
oh, but that is not near close to the resolution of the diffuse, is it? You know what's funny, I see some stains going on too, wow, im curious where those come from... thanks for showing.
