Maya navigation wont work in modo, halp?!
I just got super annoyed by the strange lag i got in Maya, so i thought. Hey, why not give modo a shot. And so i did. The first thing i do is to turn on Maya navigation. More than likely you need to zoom the document out either with the zoom button or the AAHalf button inside the document rollout. That or use 512x512. ZBrush doesn't automatically fit the document size to the available window space, it just crops off whatever is spilling over the edges. Frame only frames to fit inside the… -

Generally working at 100% (native res) is good for making big sweeping changes/details, then zooming in for pushing subtle details. Ok using Maya2008, mentalray with the misss fast skin shader to render this baby out. My problem is when zoomed out, the subsurfacescattering kills the detail of the normalmap, however when zoomed in it looks fine.
