Hi everyone, This is a WIP prototype level that our team of 7 has been working on with the mentoring of members from SOE. The premise was to create a level that would fit within the Free Realms style, with a sci-fi twist added to it. Long background story short, a group of exiles crash land on a desolate planet, and in the…
Cool.. [ QUOTE ] FRENCH elections are typically volatile affairs. But when Jean-Marie Le Pen's National Front party (FN) set up a virtual campaign headquarters on Second Life, the internet site where over 2.9 million registered users live a double life, it caused a cyber-riot. [/ QUOTE ]…
So I have an asset (spaceship) which i textured using substance painter, and thus has a color, roughness, and metalness texture. I need to render it in cinema 4d as part of animation I am pretty damn happy with the way that I have it looking within the SP realtime viewport, but everything totally falls to pieces as soon as…
@Paulsvoboda: Thanks for the excellent links and suggestions. They helped me quite a bit. Didn't get to the panel lines yet, but its on the list. @Harry: You know, not EVERYONE can afford electromagnetic sails, butlers, and tuition at Mars U! ;) I like how your thinking. Let me draw some things up... Thanks guys Addressing…
I was just browsing CGsociety and was glad to see the new mosaic of images at their home page, very similar to what CGhub had! Looks like CGSociety is changing gears like all the others:poly142: Also, I am glad that "Artstation" have added some new features that are functional now(since yesterday) and they are really…
Here's an example: "I've seen scenes made in unreal using quixel assets, like the following: some image I like the way that looks a lot, because of __reasons__. Here is a scene I don't like, because of ___some specific reasons__. Is this a result of some rendering features in unreal? Is it a choice the artist made? Would…
I really hate to be harsh, especially since you're being so sincere, but this is basically it. I think your work could probably improve fairly fast if you really work at it, but right now I'd say your work isn't going to cut it for most places looking for dedicated concept artists. It's a competitive field and the bar is…
@Ewan Nice to learn what scale you extracted from the concept :+1: I think it's a bit of a balancing act between capturing the feel of the concept and having a good play space. I suppose if one wanted to keep the concepts feel of verticality, the pillars could be made taller so the room proportions are preserved. Here is…
Hello! First of all I'd like to say that you have some great ideas with your artwork. I'd recommend for the time being putting colour and detail to the side and focusing on your line art. Your lines are very light and very sketchy - try using long, flowing lines. If you have unsteady hands I'd recommend using Paint Tool…
Yea, im with synista on this, just looks like two skinny penises hooked together by a shoe horn or somethin. I don't really like it, maybe some kind of huge kick ass engine on the back and some kind of wind shield on the front, just looks like a hunk of metal atm. It's just so...oddly shaped and really blocky.
