What happened to the database in the first place, to require rebuilding? I missed that part. Did something break, or has this just been part of a housekeeping effort, or has Polycount officially dropped its database function and any service along those lines is meant to be an unofficial "extra", or what? I'm outta the loop! -

This is amazing, really awesome stuff! Love seeing a fan service for SS2, specially so well done! Grats. PS. You're gonna hate me for this cos it's so nitpicky, but in the video, what annoyed me a little bit was the amount of specular aliasing everywhere, it can be easily fixed by tweaking the roughness maps. -

Yea, it sounds like if you're still having playback issues at a bitrate of 3100 something else is going on. Conversely, have you tried just uploading your video to a service like Vimeo (which offers a 720p version) and letting them do the video conversion / hosting? Can you post a file? -

You can't link directly to things on your hard drive. You will have to upload this .mov file to some sort of file hosting service if you want people to be able to see it. You may be able to convert the file format and put it up on video sites liek Vimeo or YouTube, then link to those. -

Hardware for scanning interiors exists. It costs a lot to buy the gear so people usually pay someone to come and do it for them. If you Google you will find a number of companies that offer scanning services - some of whom will probably be willing to explain to you what they do and tell you about the equipment they use. -

Had that for a while (and seen some other people have problems with it). Try downloading all the service packs/patches (whatever the name of those are at autodesk), that solved it for me. Someone else fixed it by turning one off his videocards (he had dual gpu's). Hope one of those solves it for u. -

why can't you use a free website service like carbonmade or something? What you have right now loads pretty slow and i almost gave up on it. Employers won't like that... I'm not sure why you did a pdf also, I've never seen anyone do that. -

Requesting it like this is just way too official, sounds like one ought to get paid for such a service. You're better off hanging around the forums, joining the different chats & skype-groups happening around the interwebz. Befriend someone experienced and just ask them questions , it's not much harder than that. :)
