Sorry for the late reply! Thanks for the feedback amirabd2130 and jhoythottle! @jhoythottle thanks for the tips on playing around with the scene! It was quiet fun moving stuff around, and be less restrictive with composition! I am sorta fan of the hair, since I wanted to go for a style around the 60-70s, but I understand…
Aren't those out of use by now? I thought they stopped using them in the 60s. That's one of the older 1911-esque designs. I think it's been replaced by Glocks lately. If you found it clunky, then I'm sure a Glock will fix that. It's a hell of a lot more minimal. I own a SigP226, which isn't exactly streamlined either…
Hm I was only arguing your your point that.. I do agree that the painting could be improved and that they should closely look at other competitors. Anyways, to get back on point. I think a good freelance software layout would be.. Blender - I have not actually used it though.. Can someone weigh in on if you can actually…
yeah. i can't believe the scale of this game - especially compared to the length of the first one. It's ginormous! I'm level 31 and somewhere somewhat near the end game i'm sure...but then again - i thought that about 6 levels and several hours ago. haven't even finished the first play through and i'm about 70 hours in.…
I think that's more than enought. Compare this to Final Fantasy Spirits Within. And no, real-time for movies doesn't mean that it has to be 60 fps, it can be 1 frame in 10K once for 20-30 seconds for final rendering. Quantic Dream "The Dark Sorcerer" also proves that we are at point where it can be used easily for animated…
It's good that Crytek made a hardware agnostic realtime ray tracing technology but until AMD will adopt that in their GPUs, Nvidia RTX will always be superior in my opinion. It's not only for the fact that you can use ray tracing, the RT cores that Nvidia uses allows gaming companies to optmize their games for ray tracing…
Didn't want to make a netflix thread, so i'll post this here. http://www.deadline.com/2011/07/netflix-unveils-60-price-hike-for-streaming-plus-dvd-service/ "The company's abandoning its $9.99 a month plan that enabled subscribers to watch unlimited video streams and also have one DVD out at a time sent via mail. The price…
You should not be paid below $40k a year for your first full-time artist job. If you are, do not take that job. $40k a year is definitely doable for "comfortable" living. Go to glassdoor.com and you can see what some people and put in for their salaries at certain companies. Also, this:…
This piece is about 60% WIP at the moment. Still a bunch of little and big things to do, but overall pretty pleased with how far it has come! C&C always welcomed! Things still left on the plate (Copy and pasted from my Google Drive Work Doc): Finalize Interior structure: Pipe Texture Painter Pass: Door Pillar Door Window…
Fwiw I, nor any of the female gamers / game dever's I've worked with have ever felt like it was. And an interesting side note, when I was in Taiwan for about 10 days on a short teaching stint, the studio we were at (xpec) was 60% women, 40% male artist ratio - something that was clearly obvious walking around in the studio…
