100% right :) - Follow this tutorial:http://tolas.wordpress.com/2009/05/26/tutorial-how-to-equalize-textures-in-photoshop/ To make this: Use Ndo2 from that to make this: Just used soft spectrum pass, with a huge amount of opacity reduction to soften it up. Took 2 minutes so its not perfect but might give you some ideas.
I also have a number of soundcloud WIPs that could be used. Let me know. http://soundcloud.com/makkon/hard-hat-zone-wip001 http://soundcloud.com/makkon/everfree-002 http://soundcloud.com/makkon/drop-the-contrabasswip01 http://soundcloud.com/makkon/old-industry-wip02 http://soundcloud.com/makkon/solar-surfing-sunday-wip04
I'm gonna try taking out all plugins and turn off the statistics as well and see if that fixes anything. Even when I have statistics off it still gives issues though. Still the same even with plugins removed. I am going to install 3ds max 2009 and see if it works better for me.
Hey @franman we graduated just around the same time, 2009 for me. I'd say if you can, be open to taking jobs that aren't exactly close to what you want, but something relative or similar. Like educational games or military simulations, maybe film/commercial/tv, or something that's close to what you focus on.
I was not talking about the sponsorship fees, which of course add on top of your salary. http://www.mensxp.com/special-features/today/34723-the-h-1b-visa-revival-bill-has-increased-the-minimum-salary-requirement-to-130-000-and-it-s-not-a-good-thing.html This is very recent and not done yet but it seems like there will be…
Who's excited that Alice in Chains has a new album coming out? - 07-01-2009, 07:03 AM Jerry Cantrell is... Felt sorry for the guy. Back in '98, I watched him get booed off the stage when opening for Metallica's Reload tour. I can imagine our venue wasn't the first. :)
hey Erik. Its everything. You get everything from 2004 on wards (so audio mainly till 2009, then onwards its audio and video including the 2011 stuff). Think I'm just gonna go for it. Probably buy it end of this week. Also it includes the tutorials as I sent them a quick email about that.
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the big difference that Max is DirectX native and Maya has to emulate it? You can get shadows in Maya's viewport (even raytraced from 2009+) but they are crap compared to a nice shader based shadow. I like to think of it as "not so bad artifacting" vs. an actual shadow ... lol.
Not 100% positive about it since I use 2009 but I'd assume it's in a very similar location. Views-> Viewport Configuration -> Statistics [tab], then you can select what type of count you want. So far as the shield, I'd make it a circle plane with a good amount of sides so you get a nice round shape.
Bootcamped macbooks tend to perform well. Autodesk's DRM used to be broken on apple hardware, but that seems to be fixed: http://www.vizworld.com/2009/07/apple-boot-camp-support-for-autodesk-3ds-max/ If you need a macbook for school, then I don't think you'd go wrong installing windows on the same notebook for home use.
