In the MEL line, type "polyEvaluate -v" this will get you the vert count. Replace -v with -uv and now you get the UV count. I made a sphere in maya then I typed these while the sphere is selected: "polyEvaluate -v" resulted in 382 "polyEvaluate -uv" resulted in 439… -

Yes you can have any scale you want. If you got X 256 Y something Z something then it would snap modularity on X but not on Y Z. For some meshes this is fine. It all depends on what you are doing. Combination = 32+64=96. It doesn't has to be 64 128 256 etc only. 108 for example is fine also. As it is 64+32+8+4 which is… -

Advertising for about 8 years. Mostly graphic design, but also a mix of motion graphics, video editing, copywriting, animation, and producing. I occasionally do 3d for work, but not that often. As far as I'm concerned they're all related to each other. Just different tools and and goals. I haven't looked for a job in game… -

It's more likely because they started with Max, got good with it, and as a result had no reason to use other tools. In the end it's not going to matter what you use as long as it does what you want. XSI is pretty simple to use, especially when working with the Source Engine. The tutorials that 'come' with modtool are found… -

Been waiting for these for a while. Forbidden planet uk is expecting them the end of may, 30 quid for all 4. I'm not too big on my figures but Gears just seems to need figures to me, considering that and UT is pretty much like macfarlane (etc) toys in video games (a good thing!). No prob at all, I love that little plug in. On the site he has the 8, 9, 2008, 2009 version (1.1) just above the the 2010 32-64bit download. Thats probably the version you where using? The last time I downloaded 1.1 was Dec last year. I haven't tried 1.1 in 2010 so I'll have to give it a spin and see if its any more stable…
