Hawdee do ya doo! A lots of great pics above. Like a lot. A couple of months ago I discovered for myself the potential of drawing with a tablet, and digital drawing in general. It is magic. This is my skill for now. I wish I had more time to draw now.
What do you mean to draw a topology over a concept art? DO i really need to draw a character from different angles? I am not really good at drawing, actually i am 9 for that, i want to be more 3d guy, than 2d.
Unreal spline meshes are not very efficient. Splinemesh components are not (and cannot) be instanced on the GPU so you are looking at a minimum 1 draw call per mesh section plus the overhead of processing the spline mesh. It's cheaper to collapse your actor to geometry than to use a splinemesh based actor. There's no…
Model everything and draw. I've cut back on my drawing as I mostly sculpt now but it does help you visualize whatever object you desire. practice drawing form and perspective. once you find your nice pour everything into it and don't stop having fun
Hi. I am fairly good at hard surface modelling. But i am not good at the concepting phase. So i figured i will start learning how to draw. I will mostly draw hard surface stuff like vehicles because thats my favorite interest. I will start drawing simple forms like cubes and build my way up to more advanced stuff! Here we…

We have been very busy with updates these past months, so now we thought would be a good idea to start recruiting some people. We are in need of 3 kind of concept artists. But we will get into that later in the post. So…
Firstly learn how too draw then progress from there...that's how you start. (here's a couple of cross posts via these threads that may help you out) Starting to learn to draw, i feel lost from start, how to start." and "Should i bother with drawing? How to people make art like this?"
Thanks! I built a primitive skeleton based off a couple ortho drawings a found, then I mashed a bunch of shapes together in zbrush to get the basic mass there. Then sculpted the muscle forms based off some basic giraffe anatomy drawings I found and some detailed horse anatomy drawings I have.
Oh wow!! This is some very impressive life drawing work. All of it is really amazing, so no criticism from me... Do you mind answering how long you've been doing life drawing? Or even drawing in general? I'm just curious. Welcome to Polycount, and please post more soon, this is great!!
Alot of what Allan-p said; I'm pretty sure artists practice everyday until the day they pass peacefully into the sunset (or in a drunken spree like Jackson Pollock..) You also have to remember that artists usually only show the best of their best in portfolios, with a few brave enough to share insights into their…
