that doesnt look like a baking error, but a "simple" projecttion error? what does the baked mesh look like without the texture applied? a quick hacky fix would be masking the edges and highlighting them to blend the top end the side together a bit more.
https://www.artstation.com/artwork/0lWoNV Hello everyone, I'm making one of the most hated characters of the second season of the Arkane series again. I still think that she was not treated fairly at all. She is sweet, kind and responsive!!! At the end of the series, she did not betray, it was revenge for treason! P.S.…
If you haven't checked it out yet there is a very handy script for carving up tiling meshes and converting them to texture atlases. http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/texture-atlas-generator As for the problem with AO, the 2nd UV channel seems to be a logical way forward if you have a lot of unique shadow details.…
MPX Boolean Project: My goals with this project were to utilize the "3ds Max/Zbrush Proboolean + Dynamesh workflow" made popular by Ben Bolton. This is my first time using the workflow, so snags are bound to be hit. I have also not created a single prop as a project in over a year, so this will be a great learning…

I am getting ready to graduate in a few months and I have been seeing a lot lately on job listings that 2d art skills are recommended or required for certain jobs as an Environment Artsit. Unfortunately I have been spending all my time focusing on the 3D modeling and texturing side of things. With most of my textures going…
Curve editor is a tool you will need to use a lot, I don't care what the posters above say :) It's something you'll want to just leave open on the 2nd screen or down below whenever you're past the blocking stage. Like Slipsius said above it is not a tool you animate "in", you animate in the viewport, but you will also end…
