I'd recommend a SCSI hard disk. I just put in a 147G Atlas 10K IV a few months ago and I still get surprised at it's quickness. If youre not into heavy painting I really wouldnt bother with anything above a TN panel - For general desktop/gaming a TN will do just fine and will probably have a faster refresh rate...
