needs loops around the nostrils, and loop that flows across the bridge of the nose, then down around the bottom of the mouth. kind of confusing image- but maybe this will help:
with that base you can also select a horizontal edge > loop > ring > straighten horizontally, then select an vertical edge > loop > ring > straighten vertically
ya looks good, only thing is i would maybe change/add some edge loops to go right over the nostrils, across the nose, and down to the chin. so it's one giant loop that circles the nose and mouth, essentially. i see you have an odd loop from the top lip around the nostril and then into the nostril, you can alternatively…
The connect tools on the ribbon toolbar can be set to auto ring - meaning you can run the connect from a single edge selection. Multiple loops can be added with the connect options as in maya and I think swift loop gives you maya's insert loop functionality. The connect options are very powerful and can be used to make…
vavavoom: I think B might be your best bet here. Less loops tends to give more manageable clipping. I find that, generally, the higher poly your model, the more you should tend towards "muscle loops" - i.e. have the loop run up from the pectoral and around the deltoid, with the loops following the flow of the visible…
I've just got grow-ring and grow-loop in graphite mapped to keyboard shortcuts, it speeds you up like 800x. The graphite/polyboost ones are useful because the ring/loop and grow ring/grow loop selections work on any type of selection, not just edges.
Thanks cryid, I just started using group loops and loops from polypaint and im loving it, no need to retopologize there. Why wouldn't you use group loops for something like a bust or character given how much more time consume re-topo can be?
When setting the "Out of Range Type" in the curve editor to 'loop' it'll allow an animation to loop as many times as the timeline length will allow. But, if you're storing multiple animations along the timeline the loop takes the hidden parts of the timeline into account too. Is there a way to make the Out of Range Type…
