X-Convict: Hell yes, I'd be up for this! CNecron518a: I don't think it's that the levels are longer necessarily, it's that the load points are much better hidden. They use their new system from ODST to stream their level chunks even better than they used to...I think.
Hey y'all, last week I released a micro-game that I designed and build mostly by myself, I also produced a 20 minute "making-of" which you can watch below :) The game's called Project Hailstorm and you can find it on Steam here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3388760/Project_Hailstorm/ Here's some assets and images…
Back when Unreal Tournament 2004 was the game of choice for modders, you may remember a little game called Alien Swarm. Well, the game and the team have come a long way since those days and the two have grown a great deal. The game itself has seen some significant improvements both in gameplay and especially in the…
I just ran into this post on ArtStation the other day! Nice :) My biggest issue is the water/puddles are so evenly spread across the street and aren't really pooling in any dips or streams, plus the sidewalk looks pretty dry in relation. Super cute environment, good job.
Well it might have gotten cancelled because it wasn't getting the views. :( I think the first issue was having it on Disney versus one of Disneys more main stream channels since this is more a all ages show than kids. If you haven't watched it, please give it a shot.
Well, It sounds a good idea that you have been working along fine art stream since 2 years. If you throw an advanced and quicker means to improve your traditional skill, then stay with that spirit don't worry about other matters which are going on close to you.
Morph targets and blend shapes seems to work well. One of the recent UE4 streams had some growing plants. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=564OYZanl3A&list=UUBobmJyzsJ6Ll7UbfhI4iwQ#t=1013 and at this time as well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=564OYZanl3A&list=UUBobmJyzsJ6Ll7UbfhI4iwQ#t=1373
superb work HP. Looking forward to breakdowns. I'm also curious what sort of "noob" technical problems you ran into while working in UDK? Anything with texture streaming, or Lightmap seams or anything? Just kinda interested in what problems you faced working in a new engine.
We live-streamed a q&a last week covering some of the new 2d tools in a little more detail, if you're interested in learning a little more about it: [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFT_abC4oq4"]Unity Hangout 3: 2D! - YouTube[/ame] 4.3 is "coming soon" :)
If you and Dan Roarty collab (http://www.danroarty.com/) on a book or streaming video training series, you guys are gonna have a best seller! :p Vancouver meets Montreal, man. Character artists: East meets West. (Roarty's originally from Vancouver). Just planting an idea o:)
