I mentioned in that thread how to do it in modo; but perhaps not specifically how to do padding: You need the alpha output enabled for padding to occur, and you can specify the amount of padding in System > Preferences > Rendering > Final Rendering > Bake UV Border Size.
Pack UVs does this, make sure to enable Rescale Clusters. This will change the UV positions. http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/3ds-max/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2015/ENU/3DSMax/files/GUID-03349B74-1754-442E-981A-6CB0D13380C0-htm.html
surely you'll get away with just freezing transforms on the original bones after mirroring everything - you might need to disable/enable always transform as well wierdly I don't think I've ever needed to do this in ten years of working in 3d...
Hi Teddy, thanks for yet another greatly improved version of a fantastic tool! Occl and Cav Masks look good in this release when turning off seam Termination. With seam termination enabled the same mask issues persist as described in the thread I created.
Zcubed, that's awesome. I love that guy's icons, they're really cool when large enough. Could you just list your window manager and theme? And how to replace the explorer's icons? That is, in case it's just replacing stuff and enabling custom window themes.
Hi guys, I would like to find a setting in Maya's UV Texture Editor, that would enable me to prevent unselected wires to hide, while selecting faces in Face Mode. or post a picture of a mythological creature. Any help would be awesome with either of these requests, thanks. -kp
Hello all. Have a problem with Stingray directX shader in 3ds max 2017. Can anybody test please it with PBR workflow? For some reason it's not correctly rendering color map (albedo), with sRGB gamma, but very darkenning the texture, instead of using as it is. No Gamma is enabled.
Hi, I wonder if any can point me in the right direction I'm after a maya script that will enable me to export a number of selected objects to separate FBX files. Ive had a look around but cant seem to find what I'm looking for. Thanks
Hi Sailm! I've responded to your ticket in our support system - simply press D to enable displacement in the Mixer. If you could, kindly, please keep your posts to one location going forward. We're very responsive on any platform you bring up issues on. :)
Hm. Maybe a button when posting that enables notifications for the thread and is automatically checked ? Ive seen various forums use this. There is a lot of free space on the left of the save reply button. ZACDs solution sounds pretty good but you always had this "1 new mail" thing still
