Hi, I'm just learning zbrush and I'm loving it, but sometimes the interface is difficult for me! Yesterday I noticed I can't find the polygroup menu on the right side. I tried to find it on the menus, but couldn't. I hope you can help me with this, and sorry if this is a very newbie question! Thanks in advance!

Really cool character! Love the celtic theme. Same as Crazy_pixel, I use 3D Coat for retopo. It took me a few months to get used to the interface and shortcuts but I really like using it for retopo now, better than Maya in my opinion.
I decided to switch over to Zbrush for the sculpt. I still get confused once in a while with its User Interface, but its time I learn it. I spent around an hour on the back, and I feel like it sort of matches the references I'm using.
Thanks Sebvhe, I've actually followed that tutorial already and came up with this guy: It was a lot of fun, and I plan on making more realistic ones in the future. I will try to incorporate Zbrush the next time around. Such a confusing interface though, compared to everything else!
Maya is a coding platform with GUI. That's the reason why its the standard right now. Everything you see in Maya can be coded by you, yes every bits of UI and interface. Its very easy to extend and inyegrate into any pipeline. Nuke is the same way.
Try using Nvidia Mipster instead. It installs alongside the dds plugin so you'll already have it. Check in file>scripts in Photoshop. It's a nice simple interface and often gives better results than the standard dds exporter, particularly with 1-bit alpha.
- Paste into MAXScript + Save As - MAXScript - Run Script. - Customise - Customise User Interface - Keyboard - Category (whatever category you saved the script under, ie "whatever you want") - Select the 'Bottom Stack' Action (LHS) - Assign Hotkey (RHS) - Save Done :)
im currently using ZBrush 4R7, OS:HP, core i7-5500 cpu, 8 GB Ram w7x64, its a strange thing probably a bug in the version or the interface i think even if i switch it to another tablet itll still be the same issue
UVLayout is simply the most cutting-edge unwraping tool. Just think of some functionality - and voila - it is already implemented in uvlayout. Simply fantastic and outstanding tool. BUT! You'll have to invest some time to learn all the operations and hotkeys, because it's interface is a real HARDCORE.
