The wrinkle and fold flow around his thighs don't make sense, given where they would anchor and wrap around the leg if you observe most references for those. thats one of the things I was thinking about when doing this gauss, if you look at a person you generally dont pick up the specular on their skin, and most cloth isn't shiny at all. It helps get rid of some of the plasticy look, once a sub surface fake becomes more commonly used I think flesh/cloth should look a lot better… -

maybe keep it simple for the main body, think how Goron's are in the Zelda series, they don't tend to wear much, it's usually simple forged metals and rough cloths, if you want any sort of ornate detail consider bodypaint or tattoos for the stomach since it's fairly common for them to have some. consider looking at Yunobo… -

Learn how to paint in 2d first. You want to paint the details from large to small. Are the clothes going to have any large folds? Is there going to be seams and stitching on the clothes? What planes of the face do you want to push on the charater? Do you want strong cheek bones, sunken in cheeks, strong brow line, accent… -

i think youve got the general form down fine, its mainly style now. give it your own twist =] and if your modeling the clothes seperately, you could learn how to use max's (i assume) clothing stuff... could be interesting as far as anatomy, i think the boobs are too perfectly round, and dont have that natural hang to them.…
