haha funny you should ask, the above gif is just to demo the ripple part, the full function is slope aware you can see it here https://twitter.com/DeepSpaceBanana/status/873289787704258561
Alright, I'm gonna return this one to WIP status :) i really want to get better at this, especially in the rendering phase. Thanks guys almighty_gir and Wormo. Expect some updates in the near future..
if you use an 'edge detect' node after the tile generator you'll get a result you can use to drive a flood fill node - like this: from my twitter: https://twitter.com/sprunghunt/status/1061079820832919552
@JohnnyRaptor, its a subdivision model, so the hands and feat also have a lot more geometry, and its probably a tall statue so when viewed from the actors perspective, on a pedestal, you see a lot of feet.
Haven't updated in a while, this was how that statue turned out way back - Also a character sculpt I started a few days back. Very much a wip. Will have beard and wispy hair ect, meant to be Hephaestus.
Ahhh, I can't post links and I can't post pictures cause I'm too new... Welp, guess I need to start giving feedback in the community to get rid of my "new" status :V
2/15/15 It's taken a lot longer then anticipated to get this to low poly But here it is!. I managed it. I UVed and Baked the Normal in Substance Designer. This is going to be a large statue with water flooding through the mouth into the water.
Is it Orphan Works legislation? It seems weird that they don't actually reference what it actually is - having some sort of legal status on what to do with orphan works is a good thing otherwise they are just going to disappear from history.
