Texture is really nice but could use some more scratches around the top of the warning indent, where the bottom of the padlock would hang. When you lock a cabinet like that (powder coated metal) the padlock will swing, and scratch and chip that area. Often even indenting the cabinet metal, (although it may be a little late…
The version I looked at wasn't on the latest designer and doesn't use a while loop. The progressive down-sampling takes the place of a loop. It may be hard to reproduce in blender. If this were a glsl/hlsl shader you'd need to render a texture for each downsample at least and possibly to handle some of the composition
Morning everyone, I'm fairly new to 3D modelling and right now I'm practicing rigging and so far I've been doing well, but I'm stuck with this particular problem. I'm trying to make a rig behave like a goat leg, and I really can't get it working the way I want, and I suspect the problem can be solved easily through the use…
Break his fingers if he tries to draw with anything other then his toes. Seriously it doesn't matter, no, really it doesn't. My brother tried this "be right handed" stuff with my nephews. Try as he might the youngest picked left and the oldest (11) is ambidextrous. He never favored one or the other and practices writing…
As an animation demo it doesn't show a whole lot. If you plan on sending this out to places as a sample animation then you might want to get some more movement, run walk cycles, crouch, jump, bending, kind of stuff. Since I am not really sure what the purpose is of this vid I am left kind of wondering? I also have an issue…
Hi everyone! Nfinite is looking for a 3D Simulation Pipeline Engineer to join our team for a paid remote role, and we thought this would be a good place to reach specialists with experience across both 3D tools and simulation workflows, so we hope this is relevant here The work focuses on converting production-ready 3D…
Ive just run a series of pretty exhaustive tests with simplygon 10 vs manual lods on a load of characters (we already know it can't cope with hard surface meshes so didn't bother there) TLDR : You'll get a better looking result doing it by hand for the same geometry cost - especially on the lowest lods Simplygon still…
I chose Mad Max as the theme for my vehicle design. It’s a hunter’s rig built for brutal off-road performance and devastating stopping power. In terms of style, I’ll take Overwatch as a visual reference and blend it with my design language and ideas. Reference
Floaters get used all the time. The only thing you have to watch out for is the shadows they cast, if you delete some of the back faces the objects might not cast accurate shadows, where the mesh has holes the shadow will also, in some engines... It's also a good idea not to push the verts of the floater inside of the main…
