Did you make all the assets and textures for this? It looks decent for a beginner! The camera movement makes me feel a bit queasy, maybe slow those movements down a bit? The fog seems really PS3 era. I think those 2 things are ruining the scene.
Have you done any research yet? There is an official engine documentation and it has a bunch of topics related to characters and skeletal meshes. Interchangable cloth and body parts is kind of more complex but again, there are a bunch of documented stuff already available on the internet. Just look it up on google.
Thanks for replying! Yeah, my main concern with holes in those parts was that it can lead to problems when deforming the meshes in movements in case I further used it in a game engine for some basic character movements. I don't know how meshes interact in game scenarios.
Is your document resolution in the Document Settings set to 4k or 512? If you are just exporting at 4k but your doc resolution is set to 512, there is a bug in the current Painter build that upscales the texture instead of adding details, you need to set your doc to 4k before exporting.
Hmm, I guess there was an HD in-game video released today of the SMART movement system and some character customisation... http://g4tv.com/videos/43012/Exclusive-Brink-Playing-Smart-Freedom-of-Movement-Preview/?quality=hd (I get a "SEXPO" ad before that... thanks G4)
You can adjust the shadow under the BPR filters under the Render settings. You should maybe also turn the Range to 0 under Document where you can rezize the Document size , this gives you a completely gray background instead of having that overlap to Black in the background
Yes, an illustration(s) of a concept outlined in a design document. The concept would not be the artist's. However while the design document would lay out the rough concept, it needs to look better than a shoe box with a few protrusions, so a good deal of talent would be required none the less.

At the moment, I have a .mcr container script that look like this: /* Load .ms files */fileIn "fn01_backfaceToggle.ms"fileIn…
So with the start of a new year and a new quarter of school, I decided I wanted to devote more of my time to working on developing 3D characters for my reel and portfolio. I've been doing character modeling/texturing/rigging for a couple years now, but I feel that I'm at the point now that I can start showing my things and…
