NM! Just figured it out. For some reason OBJ was causing the issue. Exported FBX and it resolved the issue...

The easy work around is to make a digital 3d ruler in max, maya, etc. And append the obj as a subtool.

We fixed it, hooray! The solution, even if it wasn't the only way, was to export as an OBJ and reimport it into a fresh scene.

yes you can build your bsp in UDK and export as OBJ... great for blocking levels out
