The actual words they use in the marriage laws/contracts are surprisingly archaic. We are long past due for updates in at least the first world countries of the world. Gay or straight.
I'm interested in building up a small mocap setup to animate my FPS arms and characters. I've been working a lot with iClone Characters and Blender/Rigify. I was thinking of using Leap Motion and buying the iPi Motion Capture for full-body animations. Do you guys know any other cheap technology around?
Could anyone point me in the direction of some great starter tutorials for Blender?! I'm hearing and seeing so much great content being created, esp since 2.8 that I'm interested in giving it a go. I'm currently on Maya but also have a history of Modo / Max. I guess really I'd like something that tells me how to convert to…
So, I have looked around and haven't seen anything official. Is polycount having a meetup at GDC? Like a Doofus I booked my ticket for Wednesday and not Tuesday night. I hope that getting in a 4:30 will afford me the time to still partake of the booth crawl some. So, let me know, or lets start a sign up thread so we can…
http://figuresfordrawing.tumblr.com/ IMO the best way to learn to draw anything is to practice it in rapid succession. Go to the above tumblr and draw a new figure every three minutes, yes I said three minutes, over the course of an hour. The trick is not to hesitate or be sentimental, just complete the figure as best you…
In retrospect, it could've worked better. Quake2's MD2 external texture paths could've lead to atlasing, and the UVmaps could've been more tidy and power-of-2 to maintain visual consistency without rounding down to blurriness. Same goes for Q3, some atlas opportunities were missed. At least the UVs were right this time
So I've made this mad, high poly, high detail spaceship and now I want to texture it. I'm a bit new to the UV game and I don't want to spend forever UV unwrapping every small detail. So I was wondering if there is any fast way to UV (or roughly texture) a highly detailed space ship ? cheers all
I beat it today - according to Steam it was 10 hours, which isn't that bad, though it definitely felt like less. The real OP one is Switch, since if you combine it with Bounce you basically don't have to worry about enemies fighting back 90% of the time. I used Get( Bounce(), Switch() ) to great effect. The real fun one is…
Hey guys, Hope everyone's doing good! So I'm currently working on this project. It definitely needs tweaks and what not but felt compelled to share. Feel free to shoot critiques, suggestions, or comments. Going to keep going until it's textured and all!
Hi I have seen many ways of making UE4 landscapes but wondered what is proving to give good results and keeping a good frame rate. I am going to jump into it tomorrow so any tips before I start would be great. I am thinking of making the landscape in Zbrush/ Mudbox for hightmaps rather then World Machine.
