So I've made this mad, high poly, high detail spaceship and now I want to texture it.
I'm a bit new to the UV game and I don't want to spend forever UV unwrapping every small detail. So I was wondering if there is any fast way to UV (or roughly texture) a highly detailed space ship ?

Usually you would UV the individual pieces, before combining them into the ship. Modular building methods are a good way to proceed:
