Hey thanks guys, yeah now I feel really comfortable. I feel dumb about the "snap" thing....yeah it was on...haha Also turning off "raycast in shaded mode" did the trick so far. I usually only work with lasso tool (I am using a wacom pen in xsi so it gets more natural to use lasso) But for "absolute"selections I ll go with… -

Nice changes! For fiber mesh, try adjusting different values like coverage. Coverage will effect the thickness of the hair. You can also go into the move tools brush settings and turn off masking by roots. (I think you have to do that for the transpose tool as well). It'll allow you to move everything around freely. Love mine. Remember that any mac made in the last few years will run windows, so you can avoid any of those "but you better keep a PC too!" quotes. I can either run Windows at the same time as OSX for quick things, or boot fully into XP for the full windows experience. The mac has been a 3 mouse button system for years… -
