Hi, Is there a way of forcing Megascans to see the asset download path as I have tried uninstall/reinstall, change the directory etc. without any fruition? It seems to just sit there all blank and useless both on the Bridge and the Studio side. Any pointers will be appreciated. Cheers.
Wip. Making concept art for building my world - please help me with this specific scene of a towering city with overlapping bridges and various levels of housing and other structures. I'll play around with it if no one replies. BTW, I'm going for steampunk with the nature aesthetic. And although it's dark and gloomy down…
I wouldn't hesitate though if there's a V-ray for Modo sale. I'd rather prefer that than zbrush bridge & keyshot. [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5nQN0ZbOsk"]V-Ray | Modo - YouTube[/ame]
You'll probably need both. MaxPlus is access to most of the 3ds Max API through python. (Same API you get from C++, just not all of it.) pymxs is a bridge to maxscript commands though Python.
What are you using for fog? You can do a lot of neat stuff with the volumetric fog now, could have animated swirls of fog drifting across the bridge and such, all reaction correctly to lights and etc.
I remember how upgrading the little Pell Silverbolt plane made the challenges with it much harder as it becomes so fast. I just couldn't pilot it under bridges anymore. No way to go back either...
That's great trick! We could make it look like its really actually built from modules. Put a trim there, yeah! Actually bridges and almost all such elements are modular, so its matter or research.
Oh man, that new lighting system looks amazing! Enlighten has been the single biggest pain in moving from 4 to 5, this looks to be bridging the gap. Those render times alone make it worthwhile
okay guys so i added some detailing on the bridge... what else should i put in the scene?? after making the scene i will change the tires then gunna move on doing the textures/lighting. -cheers
Mmmmmh looks like a good start. The nose bridge is to wide between the eyes, maybe that's what gives you an off spacing feeling. And the eyes-to-ears distance is a bit too big imo. Ponytails ftw.
