:) Thank you kindly for the help @lotet I agree with your crop choice, and there is indeed not much size variation... thank PS for layers! About the shadow buildings wonkiness, do you think it's because we should be seeing more roof than walls? Will get rid of market stands and bring the roof tops of the right btm corner…
It's a really cool design! I would try and do more with the cloth on the roof. Decimate it more so you can get some really nice folds via simulation. You can then bake it down and produce a normal map for a lower poly version. I think you can do more with the silhouette too. You could have some planks on the roof sticking…
Only got a couple of hours this evening but got a thatch roof material a good way. Still a bit WIP think it needs more work to define the individual strands as at the moment doesn't read well with colour. Would really welcome some feedback on this material especially as it is still fairly simple and early stages. I was…
Hey everybody. I have been wanted to make a good Sci-fi portfolio piece for a while. Did some looking around the internet which lead me to this concept piece by Alexey Yakovlev. Really loved the look and feel of the piece and was sold on it instantly. Got started on the low poly and tried to break off a few sections so it…
Hello everybody! We want to participate in this contest by basing our concept on the ideea of a Childhood kingdom. In our environment, kids are the rulers of an imaginary kingdom in the backyard. We will have props like toys and lots of plants and flowers. We are aiming towards those moments in childhood when everything…
Stylized Roof Tiles After Mayterials I wanted to take all of the new tricks that I learned and use them to make a more detailed material. I've been working on it in my free time for the past few weeks and this is what I came up with. I was initially inspired by the Roof Material in Darksburg made by Lary Kummer…
Habboi: I like it! Funny, I was actually planning to have the dragon's whiskers as the door handles. I'll see what I can do to originalize it. Addieo: I was planning to light it using the lamps, but the more I look at them the more it looks like they where ordered from Sears. I was thinking of having open spots in the roof…
updated version. I tried it out with buildings in the background and the mixture between that and roof glass.... it looked super messy. so i changed it up. put a solid roof on it. however, it isn't finished which is why i did a paint over. of things that need to be filled. in. The highlighted square on the left hand side…
Atticus said it, complete a basic version of your model (roof) Apply the texture, select the option to preserve UV's and start cutting. You will need to re-work some of the Uv's after you add additional faces, try to work negatively. You could also apply the texture to a flat plane and model/break off chunks of the texture…
Yeah that's what I meant. The topology of the roof is perfectly fine in my eyes. However I think I'm going to have to produce the roof again. See, what I did to triangulate was, I selected all the vertices and I used the Connect tool. This essentially makes everything triangular. Now I've done something accidentally to…
