@gnoop I can confirm raytracing works fine in Marmoset 4.06 with UV splits on all hard edges in the normal map, I just tried it to make sure and it's seamless without the Arnold bug. I also tested all soft edges and that works fine too, so you can pretty much set the normals however you like in Marmoset and it comes out…
This slider shader has been created in Unreal Engine 4. The shader was created to extend the appearance of the UMG widget sliders. At the moment, you can only control and customize the slider bar and handle colors. This slider shader allows the developer to also customize the masked slider bar color. The shader is…
Its a way of life for me, not a 'job'. I love what I do even moreso now than ever before. I'm very lucky in that I have a wife that is equally passionate about games / game art and working on games - This helps! I also guess it depends on how making art resonates with you as a person. I've crunched for 14 - 16 hours a day…
I have no idea if this meets the quality bar required, but it could look better when you sculpt out some muscle formations on the armor, espectially in the chest and abs area. Those highlights and shadows could lead to some nice tertiary detail. And maybe add some wear and tear where the leather would often rub together.
Since so many people complained about me pimping anime stuff all the time this one is a bit more realistic. She's aimed at Quake 4 and this time I even managed to hit the proper polycount. The UVs are nowhere near final. I just wanted to see how the normalmap would come out. Still has a few flaws but nothing a little…
Let's talk about the horse for example. Here is the ref from the Internet: Notice the lower lip is more prominent, it has a "belly" and extrudes forward a bit. and horse's lips have unbelievable wide range of motion as well. The ear should face forward, not side-way (horses' ears can turn side-way of course when they try…
I personally own a British .303 sporterized (a WW1 / WW2 bolt-action rifle that's been modified for hunting) and a pump-action 12 gauge shotgun. Both are gifts from my dad who also owns a shotgun and rifle (don't recall what they are). My father used to hunt (duck, deer, boar, etc) here in CA and back in North Dakota, and…
Overall, you're on the right track and have a higher quality than most. Unfortunately your portfolio is missing some key things that would cause concern for a hiring manager: * You don't display triangle count and the wireframe density on your characters is very high, higher than I would expect for these characters. It…
Personally, I think this is great, and even though I don't think he'll win I hope it sparks a strong debate. A small personal story to relate why: My parents got divorced. We didnt want to live with our Mother, but the courts decided that for us. I lived with my extremely physically & mentally abusive Mother for the first…
