Have you tried adjusting the Subdivision options? Its the small white box next to "add new subdivision level". Right, I think I get what you're saying. An issue with using fog is that it pretty much reduces to zero at the point of the camera, and the Fog Thickness just controls that falloff. There doesn't seem to be a way to eradicate that zero-fog zone right around the camera. Perhaps a Post Process with a little desaturation and… -
