bad ass merc character
here is a quick test ive been working on recently taking a break from stylised character art and had my first proper try at sculpting a realistic character. so i went for a smoking aces style merc here it is after 3 days of sculpting heres the full body the legs have barley been worked into so exscuse the roughness. -

Sup guys! As some of you know, I recently headed on over to Trion Worlds to work with them on a project, but it wasn't announced yet, but here it is! vcool, you're right about the stock, i've fixed it. I'm also going to go back to the welds, they are too prominent. Here's where I'm at with the scope: I'm not looking forward to combing the top shapes, they are going to be a pain in the ass -

you dont actually need a thickness map, though it can be used to give more control. Use SSS profile instead of the simple sss shading model, and enable "transmission" on the light source. Also tweak the sss profile parameters to get the desired result. -
