Update: Finished some foliage using SpeedTree for the first time. Really cool I must say and hopefully it'll spice up the environment and give a majestic look. Almost finished with my project that I've worked on for a really, really long time...
I could take some screenshots tomorrow at work possibly. The trees are made with Speedtree. You can make them in max/maya with similar results, but it takes much longer. There's a full version of Speedtree 5 with the UDK. You can only export straight to unreal, but its pretty solid for anybody that wants to take a shot at…
Hello everyone , I would like to create a fir for a realistic environment . I know I can use Speedtree but I don't how I can create a fir. If you know a other way or if you have a tutorial to create a fir on SpeedTree thank you to tell me.
Take us directly to your work. Not your resume, I don't want to see that until after I've seen your work. And what is FYP mean? I think I'd take out the 'speedtree' you didn't model it, you used speedtree. Anything created in a generator program, I wouldn't consider your own work, but I could be wrong.

Now I am happy with the ground coverage and run some tests on the trees. but im still not happy. I will continue on that until I got the right Workflow. I think Speedtree is not a sollution becouse I want to have different states as I mentioned before. But if you have some good tutorials about speedtree. I am always happy…
Hey For a while I've been wondering how one can achieve small animations like flags or foiliage waving in the wind. Speedtree has something like this I think but I don't want to use Speedtree for everything. I'm using UDK alot but I'm also interested to hear how it works in other engines.
well, if you want to get more information, Oblivion uses Speedtree, the UDK comes with the speedtree modeler. The variation is only one part of the pro of the trees, as the data-size required to store all those trees in variation might be much less than what you would need to store a comparable amount of different palm…
I'm thrilled to share my new environment project, "The Heart of the Forgotten Hall" — a post-apocalyptic scene where nature, especially animals, reclaims brutalist ruins. Inspired by Nier Replicant and Control, it explores the contrast between architecture and instinctive resurgence. Here are the tools I used Blender…
Hi! Probably this has been asked many times, but I couldn't find much information anywhere... I know the classic cookie cutter sprites, and the branch-plane extrusion method. But this doesn't seem to cut it when I look at the SpeedTree screenshots. I have never had the chance to look at a SpeedTree model and was wondering…
