Upon merging together two meshes I've ended up with two uv sets, somehow. I don't know what happened. But I want to take the uvs in UVW and combine those with UVW1. I can't seem to make this work.
not sure if this is easy or I'm going to need some kind of script- basically I have 2 maya files, each with a group/parent structure set up with identical groups and naming, and each group has various objects underneath them. I want to merge the files, so if both files have a group 'bolts' and underneath that lots of…
Do you want to merge by layer? How about selection set or object id, material name? http://cganimator.com/csmergeby-powered-by-3dsmax-2019-custom-scene-file-data-stream/ https://vimeo.com/268536821
I have been working on a flooring tile sculpt but using several cube meshes. My sub tool palette looks like so: Now that I have finished sculpting, I want to combine all these sub tools into one mesh so I can sculpt cracks etc across multiple slabs. The problem is, since each slab has nine sub divisions, using the "Merge…
My entry in to this contest will be an anatomically correct (with a few small, ahem, improvements) ;-) version of ME! I am going to create a digital double of myself (Using CC, Zbrush, 3D Coat, Blender, Substance Painter, my Scanify face scanner and iClone.) and dress my Marc Wakefield shaped doll in a range of custom…
@ArtHuman Polygonal automotive modeling workflows typically involve tracing the body lines with curves or subdivided edges and creating clean guide shapes for the curved panels before cutting in any surface details. Whether or not something is modeled as a continuous surface or split into sections really depends on the…
does anyone know whether it is possible to import/merge/open a 3d model file from a web address via maxscript? The script here would work if the address is local but not for a web address: rollout Lib "Library" width:412 height:362 ( button 'generate' "model Library" pos:[117,243] width:171 height:38 align:#left on…
And get a good polyflow? Here is what I am trying to do .... build an Atlantean sword in several modular little pieces done in 3dsmax ... I want to export in low poly sufficently subdivided and then merge one into the other to create a continuous mesh without seams between objects and possibly get a good polyflow for it…
I have a piece of clothing. I have some medium and small details sculpted on it in Zbrush. I also want fine fabric details on top of all. The easiest way would be to add them in Zbrush with the Surface noise and export just one single displacement map. However, my height map is too fine to read well with the surface noise.…
