I went into max, made a cube, selected all faces as editable polu, went into extrude options. 1st option just moved it. 2nd, just scaled it up. 3rd made it just like the screenshot shown above in maya. I have no idea what else you were after, sorry mate.
Wow that looks amazing! A shitload better than Anno! Theres a little alpha map issue on the roof on the 1st screenshot(and the glass windows?) :poly136: Really curious to how they did those cobblestones, parralax mapping? Its always great/refreshing to see games with a non-first person perspective use techniques like that!
Nice. I had always had it in the back of my mind that there was no such thing as a 2nd party. I think it roots back to school when we had to write stories in 1st and 3rd person, because there could not be a 2nd person perspective. Although not quite on topic... what would a second person perspective game be like.... ?_?
I guess they are called "The Art Department" now... Anyway they got a nice sale going on for their downloadable and streaming videos $7.99 each until August 1st. EDIT: Oops! on second thought I guess I should have made a new thread instead of necroing this one seeing the title... oh well :poly136:
This happens to me when i try and import more than 2 objs -just import your 1st obj -save it as a ztool -close it -import your next -load your ztool -append your new obj into your ztool -and repeat for the rest of the objs sounds tedious and maybe is but is a good work around
I worked on this game a couple years back when it was true crime: hong kong, great to see the final product actually hit the shelves :) some really fantastic work by the guys at UFG, they really refined and polished it from when I 1st played it. finished the campaign and really enjoyed it, the combat is great as well.
good start, its looks a little dark and you are not posting your reference to compare how close you are....u made me go back to your 1st page and dig for it. I lost 2 minutes of my life, but i know u will make up for it! :) That cast is sick!! Keep it up homes!
I'm digging these renders, man! Might want to make sure the 1st-person-view gets the same lighting attention, though. I like the older, darker renders but these lighter versions show off the details better, I think. Excellent work, my friend. Can't wait to see your low res :)
Hey guys, It's now my turn to show some of the works I've done on WATCH_DOGS at Ubisoft Reflections (Newcastle, UK). I was in charge of 3 interiors and the "mini-games" components. I found another job just after the (1st :) ) end of the project, so I don't have any breakdowns or stuff like that to show you :( . Cheers!
So I'm trying to UV map this object. I need 2 UV sets, 1 for texture and 1 for lightmap. But when I copy the UVs to new UV set and I move the UV shells in the 2nd UV set, I get this distortion near the shell edges. Any suggestions? 1st UV set: 2nd UV set:
