Wow guys, this is incredible, thank you so much. I owe so much to the games art community (across the internet) but the feedback i have received here on polycount has been overwhelming. + Sigur Ros is incredible, has an awesome ability to relax me.
If you can do efficient art, you shouldn't have trouble scaling things upward. Unfortunately, doing good-looking but wasteful art does not mean you can be efficient, so keep that in mind. Relaxed constraints are not a reason to open the floodgates all of a sudden.
You could use the weight attribute on the constrain node. add another target(null) to the constraint with the jaw's position @ it's relaxed state. Keeping the weight attribute of that null target at 1... Lower the original weight to a value lower than 1 till the teeth no longer penetrate.
Oh yeah, Carl did the influential UV Help MAXScript back in the day, a decent Relax tool before Autodesk fixed theirs. Looks like cool stuff. Similar tech has been discussed before. A search for "tesselation" will dig up more threads.
I've noticed with this technique there's some small problems when it comes to UV unwrapping, specifically the relax tools, they don't seem to perform as expected i can only assume this is because it uses vertex normal data to operate correctly? Anyone else experience errors like this?
Well yea, nicholas cage is Ghost Rider, but he only has to act for the first part of the movie. Once he gets transformed into the skull head, a stunt actor does everything with a mask over his face and nicholas cage can sit back and relax.
Thanks guys! @flow3d Been watching this for half an hour now...It´s great! :D I usually prefer a more relaxed stance when modelling characters...I´ve never rigged any of my models so what kind of pose is easy to work with?
haha no I was just kidding, I guess MOV will do fine. I read the rules once again it says " QuickTime h.264 format". Quick time is a .MOV format. So no issues. Lets sit back and relax now until 1st March
Cool, it's always good to hear that I'm not the only nerd building plastic tanks at the age of 24 I'm also quite slow because of a lack of time, but sometime working on plastic is more relaxing than doing anything more fun but also more hectic. And thanks!
Hi :) I've started texture painting last week, as I love the stylized look it gives to most asset (also, I found the process surprisingly relaxing). Here's my first production, trying to make a stylized rock: Inspectable sketchfab model: https://skfb.ly/6RQ6n Thanks in advance for your comment :) !
