Hey everyone, I seem to be having a math issue. I am trying to create an arena of sorts that is circular. It has 31 segments and I want it to match up exactly. So basically what I did: 360 \ 31 = 11.61290322580645 I know I am missing something to this equation and I just cannot seem to ask it the right way. Here is the…

i7-5820K is $300 from Microcenter, 3.6 GHz boost, 28 PCIe lanes. i7-5930K is $500 from Microcenter, 3.7 GHz boost, 40 PCIe Lanes. The i7-5930K is only better if you need those 40 PCIe lanes. That extra .1 Ghz isn't worth $200.
Hi, I'm still having mesh problems. I'm using version 3.6 (I did install it on top of the old one, though.. ) I added normalmap & lowpoly slots without any additional changes: with another object: I also opened same files with marmoset toolbag witout any problems:
@S2Engine Thanks! I followed the info from this thread at crydev: http://www.crydev.net/viewtopic.php?f=326&t=72419 It is mostly the shadow settings in cryengine that need tweaking, I suppose very high spec takes care for the rest. And also, there were no lod-s for the meshes :) works well for custom vegetation..
360 video output tends to crush black levels more than the ps3, hence why you lose detail in darker areas especially shadows. Ironically this makes the colors seem more vibrant, which tricks our eyes into thinking it looks better (especially when compared side to side with the ps3)
SHEPEIRO-- thanks! rhoymand-- thanks as well! And this forum is an excellent spot for feedback and resources. I've yet to complete a current-gen (360/PS3 spec) character, but hopefully this'll be it! Once I'm done with him, I can go back to game-ifying my witch... Please, folks, keep the crits coming!!
It really catches my interest I kinda like how you filmed it old style. I think you should show more of the environment in seperate peices. with their wires and textures. like how you did the tank. just add those after the 360 of the tank or whatever. if you built the environment that is :)
I'd say ram and processor speed > videocard, in my (limited) experience. I don't imagine you really need much of anything more for maya (I'm running max 8 fine on >1ghz processor and 386 mb of ram, honestly,) but for Mudbox or ZB you want as much ram as possible, always.
