Did this Emma model recently. I was surprised how much I was able to cut down, it actually goes below 1k tris if you get rid of the hidden parts(or take the jacket off)
Thanks, that's a great help. Initially I was not that convinced of inserting a gamma adjustment layer that might have to be enabled and disabled based on the situation, but after thinking bout it a bit more I think, the best approach might actually be to just leave the gamma adjustment permanently turned on in the PSD…
Man, This is looking oustanding. Subbed for sure. Very clean maps and cool devines. I'd take a look at the left shoulder tattoo. Right now the knotwork is considerably more inticate than on the rest of the tattoos and it creates a noisy feel to it. There's a little noticeable scalloping on the shorts. This is easily…
I like it a lot! I'm a sucker for those proportions and I love the theme. I do however think it could use add a little more visual interest. I did some google'ing and found this reference of crocodile Dundee. http://wijzeman.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/crocodile_dundee.jpg Maybe something like the armlet he's wearing,…
Remeber that you basic passes on dDo or whatever texture creator your using will not be enough. Don't rely on using those alone. Get into Photoshop, get some nice functional/technical detail in there. Show us where the parts move/clash together. The top green section by the handle could use some edge work, it reads too…
SO to start this project i wanted to redesign the character i made for my final year project, so i first looked and noted what i liked and hated about that design. so parts liked the spiky hair and split toed trainers i still liked a lot. whilst things like this made up snood jacket thing and the general colour scheme i…
so that does mean that creating ao and cavity maps from ndo and then using them as input for ddo is completely unnecessary since ddo basically does the same internally? looks like I did a lot of unnecessary steps with creating cavity and ao maps so far... although it looks like ao maps created from ndo seem cleaner than…
yes it was actually easy, Simple planes extrusions matching the surfaces beneath and adding a solidify modifier to it after that throw into zbrush and add folds. Process is actually straight forward. Happy Learning!
Hmmm, h buried his email, very hard to find, not a good idea. Then at the end it's an image, not text... Anyhow I recall having this problem too at one point. Can't recall what I did to fix it though.
Every Smart Material generally creates a group. If it doesn't, you can add a group manually by selecting the layers you wish to work with and clicking the group function in dDo's main window. Cavity and curvature are not generated by dDo as individual maps within your *.PSDs. The SUITE will generate a curvature map from…
