Thanks, I just wondered what your opinion was as an actual user of an ssd drive. Reading a couple of articles now, it seems they are ideal for operating systems but for mass data storage... a 2tb ssd drive for 6 grand. Seriously, that's nuts.
Hi, I need advice. I am planning to buy a dedicated SSD and use it as a dedicated scratch disk. According to quixel's website I need at least 16GB. Would 100 GB be enough? I have another question. Would I notice any difference in performance if I buy HHD instead of a SSD?
i7 930 processor GTX 680 2gb 12 gb ram 2 monitors 2 ssd's ( One for OS and One for programs ) 1 TB HDD for storage/ other stuff I don't want on SSD's Wacom Bamboo pen haha
I tried reinstalling both PS CS6 as well as CC and the Quixel Suite on an SSD and neither version of Photoshop seems to function as expected. I've also tried installing the Suite on the HDD while running PS from my SSD and still no resolve.

That is absolutely bad-ass. My only gripe is that you went with a normal nose instead of something like a skull-esque nose, what with the rest of it being rather sunken and morbid. Just my two cents, it still kicks much ass.
also about performance, unless you are on a potato you ought to be able to keep 60fps in a scene like this. For reference I have a 1060 card and have scenes with more foliage than this and can stay around 60fps. Not necessary to achieve if you are going for portfolio but just a reference that you can keep in mind. how far…
So I'm not going to go into too much detail, as I am primarily an environment artist and not a character artist, or well versed on anatomy myself. When sculpting anatomy, something good to do is side-by-side comparison, whether with another sculpt from a talented artist, or an actual nude reference. I did a quick search…
Updating the firmware of the SSD might help as well (if there's already an update available). I had BSODs on my M4 Crucial after 5000 hours runtime, installed the latest firmware and everything works fine now. What kind of SSD did you buy?
So bad ass dude!!! Glad you posted your awesome stuff. Seriously guys for every image he posted he has like a truck load of other kick ass stuff. :) . Some amazing amazing concepts that are not posted here. :)
