Definitely looks better overall. I think the problem with the hips are mostly the curve it creates from the front view, 3/4 and side looks fine. I get that you want her to look curvy but make the thighs thick then, not the hips. this is how my brain is interpenetrating the front view atm, and it looks borderline comical. -

Stunning trailer! Is it really by Blur though? Usually their characters look a bit odd, especially faces, but in this one some of them looked almost borderline bad. In particular Superman who's face, even for a comic book character, looked ugh. Still a great trailer, I've watched it about 7 times now with a grin on my face… -

Well that and it's pretty easy to delineate between someone doing comical behavior and then being laughed at/mocked and someone being laughed at/mocked just for "being" black/gay/asian/female/etc. Neither is ok and both feel shitty, but one can cause much deeper seated issues because it's something you cannot help. -

Watch some well-filmed movies. Go see Sin City right now. Rent Titus, Edward Scissorhands, or some other visual feast of a movie. Read some books or comic books. Go to CGTalk, and take a look at some of the beautiful renders. Listen to some moody music while sitting there with your sketchbook. -

Marginally more realistic. Compared to Batman Begins, Dark Knight was a pretty dumb summer blockbuster with more of a 'comic movie' treatment, rather than the original idea of 'how would someone actually become this figure'. It lacked any sort of depth that the first Nolan film had. Miles better than Transformers though… -

.Diver Scene
I've been working on this for the past few days. It's going to be one of those long form, panel-less comics featuring a character in a sequential set of poses. It's almost like key framing really. I know I said I'd do something simple next to help me work on my painting, but I am an idiot so we find ourselves where we are.
