Hi everyone. I just finished adding a big project to my portfolio, and I thought it might be interesting to some people on this forum. I invite you to follow this link to learn more about the project. I have also attached them to the post. http://jordanpelovitz.com/?page_id=1765#2
Hi everyone, TopoGun 1.05 for OS X is ready and the betatesting will start in a couple days. Everyone who wants to join the betateam should register to the TopoGun forum and join the public Betatesters usergroup. TopoGun requires at least OS X version 10.5.5. www.topogun.com www.topogun.com/forum
I already ordered it. Hopefully I won't have issues with the Samsung, everybody else suggested it was good. That other rig posted looks overkill. Xeons? And Very expensive. Mine was 1700 total. Looks like the processors are alone are 2000 grand each! If I spend 2000 grand on something it will be a cintiq or a vacation.
if they were building a city in a similar location today i would be inclined to agree, but in the 1700's a city near the ocean with a river which empties into the ocean it looks like a great idea for a port town. now the people who keep making their trailer home villages in tornado alley, now thats stupid
Thanks very much for the nice feedback and advices! So here is the final scene (added some decals and changed the lighting a bit). You can also see the used geometry and textures ;) The whole scene's polycount is about 170k tris (a bit heavy, i know ^^) Let me know what you think!
Nah, thats not the problem. I have a nvidia card Geforce Quadro 1700 with the most recent drivers. Although the problem is also occuring on ATI machines as well. Where I get a transparent mesh, ATI users get a pure white mesh without textures. Same problem just different display. Cheers anyway
I am required to create an asset for an art test, with two LOD's one 1750 tris and another 300 both of which have to share the same texture space, how would i go about doing that? do i make the 300 tri first then UV it then up the res? or the higher version first UV n then the 300?

that's great, i can't wait to see the lowpoly one... pants are strange because falls too much over the feet see http://www.anime-model-sheets.com/show.php?w=1105 i think they needs to drop much higher and close up over the feet, and not cover it at all btw, great work, i'm going to really admire you
I can do you one better: here's a guy that a while ago was able to import a 100% legit FA G36. It's not a carbine model, but there are a lot of useful close-ups. http://gallery.gunsofthereich.com/g36k-84-1105/G36k_01.jpg.php click for larger. Go up a level and he's got a ton of great shots of other German guns, such as the…
