Yet anoter AKM model to the infinite pile. A must for every 3D weapon artist !
A fun and challenging project, the AKM was modeled (to a certain point) following the "Ultimate Weapon Tutorial" by Tim Bergholz. hey man! looks good so far, but: 1. If a room has any light source in it it doesn't have any pitch black areas. 2. Those bushes need some adjusting, maybe look into making them in layers if you know what i mean 3. Cables should have some hinges that hold them in place and maybe more polys 4. Yeah I meant oldschool subd, hardsurface in max/maya etc. in an unconnected to sculpting app way. You can always Reto or start from scratch in zbrush. -

for the tiled areas on the walls and columns id add more evidence of liquid having dripped down to break it up more. the concrete for the roof beams have evidence of liquid staining but the plane directly next to them in the corner doesnt, so you just have a line. id blend those corners more. also the graffiti seems too… -

Aah, thank you for the link and the very helpful tips to the both of you. What I'm trying to achieve, is a worn chromatic texture, which I seem to have failed badly. Heh... And I'd like to create something simliar to Metro 2033 and Last Lights' style, quite damaged and worn and such aswell. That's atleast what I'd like it… -
