Anyone know of any general tutorials that are really good? I am not an absolute beginner and can work my way around the interface but am not used to putting much time into anything.
Not only did they make the game ridiculously hard, but they also decided to go with a service that features incomprehensible user interface and which randomly deletes your saves. Hows that for hardcore? :poly142:
Highly convoluted interface, non-procedural, and the only features it has going for it over other programs, like massive textures, are both useless for game development and stripped out of the Indie version.
Thanks for the excellent right up SyncViewS, I found then the script under the customize interface like you said but when I pressed load it asked me to find this file "MaxStartUI.kbdx" :\
Well you get the exact same stuff for free with a cleaner interface, better speed, and a Max/Maya plugin when you download Allegorithmic's Substance Designer Trial, just sayin' ;)
Welcome. Photoshop and Maya should be sufficient to start with, Once you've got modeling down in one program, it's really just a matter of learning a new interface and the equivalent tools in other programs.
Yeah no text chat in lobby is lame, definitely just ported the console interface to the PC. Playing with the aliens isn't very smooth and its hard to move exactly how you want to.
Most people use CGTextures these days, but I thought I would share this alternative. Its been getting bigger and bigger over the months and I actually like its interface a little more than CGTextures. Enjoy! http://texturelib.com/
So I have decided to dive into modo, but the interface is confusing to me. I have been using maya for years, but I am having trouble getting the hang of Modo. Are there any good tutorials out there to ease me in?
