Just thought I'd add this here for posterity. It's using Polyhertz's 'Quick High-Poly' 3dsMax script. My thread with examples can be found here: http://polycount.com/discussion/174639/polyhertzs-3dsmax-script-quick-high-poly#latest
Yea but its not free and even if it was I'm not sure I would use it. Personally I like outliner for Max. It's a pretty close representation of Maya's outliner. http://www.creativecrash.com/3dsmax/downloads/scripts-plugins/interface-display/c/outliner-for-3dsmax
This is my 3d rendition of the refurbishment of Alta Vista House designed by Choza. Espacio de Arquitectura and photograph by Javier Agustín Rojas. I used only Corona renderer and 3dsmax. This is the raw render straight from 3dsmax with no post production. The scene is full cgi. Also, happy new year in advance :- )
Hi Guys, just in trouble with some UVs i want to copy from my 3DSMAX LowPoly Model to an imported decimated zBrush LowPoly. I Click and drag the UVW Modifier to the decimated Model but nothing happens. How can i copy my 3DSMAX Model UVs to the decimated Model? Thanks, Gazu
For 3dsmax it definately is the best shader you can get, it has every feature needed and looks awesome. It´s just like marmoset, your stuff just looks better with it. I don´t know a good alternative to replace your shader in regards to 3dsmax,
Oh sweet concept. In the middle of another project atm - damnit. @ansh0488 - re 3dsmax to UDK units - use generic units in 3dsmax as 1 generic unit (max) = 1 unit (UDK), a 6ft character is usually 96 units high for comparison
Finished the low poly and sent off a test bake, I'm getting lots of weird projection errors. @AlecMoody think I could get some assistance with this? My tangent space output is set to 3dsMax and my Marmoset is rendering using the 3dsmax tangent space setting.
The normals are not screwed up as on my 3DSMAX model it has the same layout and it works fine. Can I just say that suggesting I have blender is quite and insult to me in some ways : P I have the full version of 3dsmax, Zbursh and Photoshop. BLENDER sucks :)
sweet thanks, I was dumb and didn't see horribledeath's url in the image above until after lunch. Anyhow, that's sweet how he switches from photoshop to 3dsmax.. is that possible in Maya and 3dsmax? I haven't seen that feature.. I'd like to use it more often.. O_o
Nice to know u are using Blender. 3dsmax can handle heavy scenes I agree. I have tried eevee.: Just a lighting test. I do intend to go back to 3dsmax at some point but right now Blender is killing it. )
