Feels to me like there's too much ambient light in there. The lights themselves could all use some softening. If you're going for an "aged" feeling as in the era that you would naturally have a study like this (think of the time from the late 1800's ala "the time machine"). In that case, the lights would be all gas and…
Why you post no more arts, Duncan? Last time I spoke to you, you said you were cranking on this. Okay, a few crits: The head could definitely do with a bit more love, the eyes being the biggest thing. Maybe you're going for ultra simplicity but he has no eye lids. Just a black eye socket. Also you could really up the…
Thanks for the feedback :) I agree on all of it! I actually have a LUT in there right now (I tried to make it feel a bit misty, but its not really working), the lighting and post is temporary as the lighting will change a lot once I get some sources in there and vary up its placement (not going to have all four braziers…
I did one for Maya, it's slightly harder in Max because smoothing groups are horrible - for example if you have a mesh with more than 32 unique UV shells, you're going to run out of smoothing groups unless you start doing stuff like comparing UV shells to see which ones aren't geometrically "touching" at all in order to…
Keyboard Shortcut Override, overrides the main shortcuts with whatever submenu you happen to be working in. So for example in edit poly sub object mode; With KSO off, Ctrl-S brings up the save dialog. With KSO on, Ctrl-S overrides the main Ctrl-S (save) and toggles soft select. With KSO on, if you exit edit poly Ctrl-S…
I've lived in your area most of my life. In fact I recently visited the Mythic offices to see poop about a tablet. I can tell you your not alone. My fiance moved here from Indiana, and has had some insomnia and health problems since. I've had sleeping problems all my life too. I'm guessing some people are more sensitive to…
[ QUOTE ] theres no firing pin when its open , and no cartrage ejection arm on the slide, dont get me wrong , it looks really nice [/ QUOTE ] The firing pin is an internal component of the pistol that you wouldn't be able to see unless you disassembled the firearm. Are you referring to the 'hammer' (the part that cocks…
Shadows are too sharp, did you use ray tracing? In a scene with that much light you'd never get sharp shadows, they are bombarded with bounce lighting and the edges are softened. Next time you're out and about take a look under a car, and note how soft the edges of the shadow are. Try using shadow map with a higher sample…
Hey everybody, I recently stumbled across this concept here and some cosplayers interpretation of Samurai Boba Fett and thought I'd try to model this neat armor set Here's what I got for the helmet Highpoly sofar : will take the helmet into mudbox for some sculpting within the next few days - hoping for some c&c until then…
Beginnings of a new realtime character. I finished recently the basemeshes for the high poly, mostly sdiv so far. I started to sculpt the character now and would love some feedback on the model so far. My aim is to make her a next gen spec. character and try to rig and make some basic animations. Mesh blockouts, mostly…
