His groin is too high up. Anatomically speaking, the torso and neck combined equal 3 heads in height. From shoulder-tip to shoulder-tip it is 2 heads in length. Overall, he looks like a big-boned midget with huge muscles. If that's what you're aiming for, hey, by all means go for it. -

I dig the design. feels artillery-y my only beef is the barrel (and it's pretty minor) but the tip looks rather phallic, and it's also ribbed for her pleasure. I would elongate the flash hider, cut some holes in it, lose the ribbing in the middle, and taper the whole barrel down toward the tip slightly. -

Wow thanks, didnt try either, didnt even realize that something like that might work... will try it. Especially i was nto aware that i can project each subdivision level separatelly and the result will look the same or even better, thanks for tips. If anyone else has a tip, please feel free to share it -

The way the scope is attached, looks a bit.. iffy, I cannot see it hold up that well in action. I would suggest using tie-wraps, duct tape, or atleast tie up the rope. and the dents in the wooden stock makes the rifle look like clay., wood doesnt dent, wood cracks and chips -

Thanks for your reply, I'll look into the loops and update the thread when I've had a play around with it. I'll be sure to look around the rest of the forum for other tips (this model is for a University Module which has a 'community evaluation' portion, so any tips at all help both the modelling and my overall grade) -

Remember also to tie off your loose loops that cause n-gons, tie them into a bunch of triangles. I feel you would also learn faster if you were to produce a high-poly model first and try baking the detail onto a low poly model. Keep up the good work. -
Modeling with a Pen rather than a Mouse
Using a Wacom or Cintiq in Zbrush, Mudbox, and Photoshop makes perfect sense, but I'm wondering if anyone here can give me some tips on using a Pen in Max and Maya.
