The biggest issue I see with it is, what's the story? What are you trying to say with it? What's the focus? Is there any details for the viewers eye to stumble on? Drink a few more brewskis, and by the same time the next day, they'll be back to their defaults. Just delete the "hotkeys" file in "My Documents/Mudbox/Mudbox 1.0/Settings." The file gets rebuilt the next time you start Mudbox up. That should fix any problems.
Thanks for the responses guys. I saved - quit, reloaded UDK (the issue was still there), then i rebuilt lighting, and it went away. WEIRD! So sorry I can't provide you with that screenshot of just lighting, obviously i'll bump this thread if it happens again and attached said picture. :)
Grabbed GTAIV Complete (full game + lost and the damned + ballad of gay tony) for $10. Just in time for my rebuilt rig which should be able to actually run it well :D Also picked up Shatter for $2.50, I've heard nothing but amazing things about it.
The last two objects I imported into UDK disappear when I choose to play the level. Any idea why that is? I can place them in the world, but they disappear when I try to play the level. I've rebuilt lighting and geometry several times, I just don't know whats wrong.

Thank you for response. So, that I dont need to importing normals from fbx when I imporn model to unity, am I? I tried different settings for import (and export) from maya and 3dsmax...(end evry time I rebuilt the tangent space map)
I think I'm calling this one done; at least mesh and texture wise. :) I rebuilt the spec and normal and tweaked just about everything else. I'm still going to polish up the presentation a bit, but in general i'm pretty happy with how things have turned out.
I got a crash, so I lost two weeks worth of work in the persistent level, but I have rebuilt most of it now, and added in more assets, here are some more shots of the robot shop ^^ working through the placeholders ^^ The computer is a placeholder, as is the..glowy lamp-thing for example. :)
