Here's an update. I'm going to redo the blade panelling as I made 18 blades, which isn't divisible by 360 degrees, so I get uneven offsets. I'll change the geoemtry to 16 blades, and nudge the panels so that they all align together.
I don't have any exact numbers, but Remember Me uses physically based rendering, and runs on the PS3/Xbox 360. It doesn't have to have a huge impact on performance. A metalness/roughness workflow uses less texture memory than color specular.
Hobbies ey? * Family * sculpting * collecting action figures, gentle giant statues and busts, sideshow collectibles, master replicas, etc * madden on the 360 among other games * looking for work * wrestling with my son * telling my wife how it is * sleeping on the couch
You know, only Paul W anderson could think up the fucked up idea of having a 360 slowmotions trinitylike scene where the facehugger jumps up an egg. and women running hand in hand with predators.. Remember the pain the last movies caused.
Pretty much done with this guy. Tweaked the thumb, added more meat to the palms, and reduced the head size slightly (not quite as much as prof suggested). 360 turnaround here . Umbrella Man - I model the organic stuff in Mudbox, and the hard surface bits in Silo.
http://www.frys.com/product/5932974?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG I came across this the other day at Frys. I never thought the PS3 controller felt quite right for FPS's the way the 360's does and was thinking of picking this up. Any one ever tried it or found anything similar? Nearly 80 bucks is a lot of moolah to throw…

I am trying to learn about the whole process, from modeling to baking, texturing and lighting. Any critique or comments are more than welcome! This is the…
Hello! I am grateful to everyone who gave me advice on this thread. Later, I'll get back to Ingram model - it has to be completely rework. Now I tried to create a simple model in order to train in the nextgen texturing. Low-poly Shield. polys/tris: 316/632. Diffuse, spec, normal map (1024x1024):

You could cut this down to 10 sec. Have the AO and wire frame happen around the 180 and 360 turn mark. There's really no need to see this spin around 10 x's. The presentation is good... just kill the music and shorting it up a lot.
