@Zyhael I made rope splines as well but I can't figure out how to make knots on the ends. Did you find a tutorial? Are you lanterns part of the spline or did you just add those afterwards? I couldn't get them to hang straight down in my spline so I had to add after the fact...
Hey Thanks for the feedback :) i did add a bevel onto those pillars but think i made it way too tight. I did a little self reflective thing at the end of this project to see where i could improve upon, lighting is definitely an area i need to improve! I also need to learn to use trim sheets aswell. When researching today i…
Hey there! Regarding input maps: The ones 3DO bakes are found in your project's \bakes\ folder. If you want to create a layer for one map, simply create that layer in Photoshop. Optimize mesh does this. Long story short, it optimizes the mesh for real-time rendering. ;) It's possible to work with NDO and DDO…
Loving the scene so far dude, got a really nice retro vibe to it, especially with the wood panelling, I especially like all the mementos to family members little photos etc. I thought I would offer up a few points hopefully to help you out with pushing this to be as top notch as possible; as it is really good already. I…
That was because I did not unwrap the sphere perfectly, I did not spend the time to make the rings equidistant from eachother, so the texture is a little unevenly displayed (and stretched at the center rings). here's a map of mars with equidistant rings applied via this method: please, do find any creases, seams or…
I wanted to see how much pieces I could make out of one trim sheet. The pillars were a bit tricky. I cut the UV shells vertical, so the seams are much more noticeable, but I did like how they turned out. I would have intended for this room to be more for a top-down or third-person game anyways, so no close ups would have…
Thanks for your input, this is not the first time modelling for me (im just new to digital 3d), I went to a traditional woodcarving school and made quite a lot of anatomy sculptures as well as nude drawings with live models. I agree that the A-pose with wider stance looks more grounded compared to the narrow feet. I…
@baraa_odeh - I couldn't resist making a little paintover. The big takeaway is that you can add color balance by using sunlight as your warm contrast and your shadows being the cool counter balance. The original lighting was very flat. Now just add a little explorer with a torch in the cave and you are good. Good luck!
Thank you for the feedback slowly learning each day so just updating the thread to showcase my journey, I'll keep upping the wear as I progress along I did add dirt to the dark earth bits but they dont show up very well. @LonePenguin/Runkugel: Yes it was cerakote that I was referring but ill go back and refine the bolt…
I just had to get this out of my system. I havent done a proper 3D render with lights and stuff for a while. I did this dog and I though it could be a good project to take it a bit further. And yesterday I decided to add some walls and after a while the whole concept came to life. I added a window and then I decided to…
