Rebuilt the whole thing from scratch in Maya. Added a wall sconce, too. Seriously have spent so much time on the lighting. I'm using a very low intensity directional light to light dark shadows -- is that okay, or is there another way?
Mephworks.co.uk Just rebuilt my portfolio because ive finished uni and need to start applying for jobs also going to use this as a wip dump for some smaller props that i plan on adding later so any comments/advice would be appreciated cheers Dan
So you are asking for some vague feature that you arent quite sure what it is or how it works, but it might be something like if you boolean two objects together that they magically get rebuilt so the connection is all perfect? yes, it totally might not be in there.
Agree with what's in the article, so glad I am working for a indie studio. The AAA game industry seems to be on a downward slope. If a crash did happen maybe we could see the industry rebuilt into something better before it all goes to shit again.
Hm, just looked it up, apparently they've completely changed his look since MMX (well, he WAS destroyed and rebuilt a few times...). That's why your model doesn't even remotely resemble Zero in my eyes but apparently it matches the MMZ Zero.
I added some more props, tweaked the background, and I'm in the process of adding decals to break up the repetitive textures. The lighting needs to be rebuilt. Cannon now with a %100 more bird shit decals! I still need to ruff up the texture a bit.
Hey I can not solve the issue of these pixelated shadows. The Lightingmap res of all meshes is set to 2048, I also tried 4096 rebuilt the lighting but the shadows stay pixelated, no change at all. Also changing it to 64 has no effect. I also tired playing with other shadows settings but to no avail.
They aren't that hard actually. the way a frame is designed is in two variations. Built up(Pre 1930) or Cast one piece(1930+) I can tell you right now, the frame has to be rebuilt since this is from the original model before I realized It was incorrect.
Map needs lighting rebuilt in your reel.. Not that pro if you ask me. Also what has been said on the 350Z, it seems to me that portfolio would look much more strong if you only focused on weapons since it's what looks the best to me there.
Yes, you would need to use a custom node with tex2Dlod. For a better parallax effect you can also chain up multiple BumpOffset nodes (alternatively rebuilt the bumpoffset nodes and include a multiply by normal.z) - this will help greatly to reduce texture swimming at steep angles.
