New year, new post :) There was a change in the style so I spent some time tweaking faces. I referenced heavily from Unity-chan which was a free asset in the store. Eye shading idea was from the Miku tutorial made by Hazardous. It was quite simple to make. Couldn't get transparency to work well in TB as it either gives a…
I honestly think the price is extremely fair for artstation pro, they are constantly adding new features to justify the price. The amount of server space and data transferred each month must cost them TONS of money, so of course they are going to need to monetize, it's a business, not a charity. I mean you could go the…
Great! Another one Plasticity user :) Since it's used mostly by artists, it's better to watch tutorials for Fusion 360, if you want to understand CAD methods. Some tools are different there, but you'll see how engineers think and work. For those who want to try Plasticity, I can confrm, it's very user friendly. Also it has…
Hi, I've been doing some dead trees, I've have done 3 of them so far but i want to make dozen of them. Also I've been thinking about adding cobweb to those trees and make them to be more fantasy style, but that's definitely a challenge.
I recommend using ureal engine for you real time renders. It sucks having to setup your shaders again but its the best free real time render. Also you get the added benefit of learning UE and putting it in your tool box. Another option would be Iray renders in Substance painter (but thats not free)
Well I just made a tree asset for ut2004 and I was just wondering how you guys went about making trees? I was using planes but specifically I wanted to know how many should be used depending on the situation and at what angles should they be to make them look the best.. thanks
This is my personal project of Bonsai Tree. Modeled, sculpted and textured in Blender. Post-prod in Affinity photo. You can watch a speeded-up video of creating this tree here: https://youtu.be/-LxfAii8ZnM 2. Part 1 https://youtu.be/KuAa4rdnrr4 Part 2 Hope you like it.
Wow. I was actually working on something similar but decided to stop. I was just trying to do too much. That said, I like what you have done so far with this scene. Very simple but also very creative. You kept this pretty low poly no? Post wireframe if you can. One thing that sticks out to me, and this a problem I had, is…
